He has been credentialed by the International Congress of Oral Implantology as their DIPLOMATE in 2003. He has brought Perio Aesthetics to the forefront of modern dental practice in India. He is a founder member of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic dentistry & is instrumental in teaching and training a newer generation of dentists. His passion for teaching and disseminating knowledge learned from his experience and attendance at conferences, seminars & courses abroad, has made him an accomplished, articulate & sought-after speaker.
His clinical skills are focused on diagnosis and treatment of any condition related to the soft tissue(gums) and the surgical aspects of Implantology. His colleagues often consult him for his expert opinion on various complicated cases. His humility, sense of humor, integrity & humaneness has made him an extremely popular and well-known figure both in India and abroad. Recently Dr. AKS (as he is famously known) completed his PGDHHM (Post -Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Healthcare Management) from Symbiosis Centre of Healthcare, Pune.
Dr. A. Kumarswamy graduated from Government Dental College (Mumbai) in 1979 and completed his Post Graduation in Periodontology in 1982 from the same institute.
Dr Akshay Kumarswamy
BDS, CAGS, MS (USA)
Dr Akshay Kumarswamy completed his BDS from the College of Dental Sciences, Davangere. He then went to Boston, the USA in 2008 and did a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

He followed this up with his Master's Degree in Periodontics and Implantology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, which is considered among the top 5 dental colleges in the world. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate and Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists.

He is licensed to practice dentistry in the USA as well as in India. His desire to serve the people of Mumbai and India brought him back from the US after spending around 10 years there. He has lectured extensively about Periodontics and Implantology all over India. He is a director of the International Team of Implantology Study Club.
Dr Aparna Anand
MDS
Our dynamic Dr Aparna Anand completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Mumbai and thereafter went on to do her Masters (MDS) in the subject of Periodontics from Mangalore.

She has also completed her certification in Healthcare Administration from North Carolina (USA). She holds a Fellowship in Oral Implantology from MUHS. Apart from her clinical and patient responsibilities, she also manages the general running of the Dr Kumarswamy's Perio Family Advanced Dentistry.
​
She is keenly involved in academics and both Dr Akshay and she conduct courses in Periodontics for general dentists. She is a speaker par excellence and regularly lectures on various topics in dentistry. She also writes a dental blog 'Periopopstar'. A trained Carnatic classical vocalist, she continues to enjoy and practice the art form.
